Okay: hashel's Drifting in the Void: I remember liking yours when you first posted it, but since it's deleted I can't listen to it again to compare it with the others, sorry. AquaKnight's 8-Bit Joy-Ride: I see this as being in something like a Discotheque, possibly one in outer space. I really do like it. The instruments sound other-wordly enough. And I do like the way it ends. BleedingFingers' Wormhole Rider vs. UFO Surfer: I love the end (the part from 2:30 onward). But I am really just not a fan of the metal sounding part that makes up the other 90% of the song. But as far as that style goes, you have it down pretty tight. soundsandstuff's Devoid: This definitely fits the theme very well. It sounds so outer-spacey that I feel like I've heard this kind of thing used in a movie or something before. I can just picture someone lost in space. What did you use to make those sounds? I like that you didn't really use any melody for it (at least as far as I can tell after two listens). I'm gonna have to go with soundsandstuff with his tune "Devoid." Good job to everyone who entered, hope you had fun. |

hehe thanks guys! wooooohoooo!!! srjimiandkurt i used fl studio and it had these background loop presets that i played with to get that odd, nonsensical, nonmelodical space sounds compilation that i made hehe, it turned out ok too i wanted it to feel like you're in samus' ship or something and the power went out and you're half conscious drifting through an unknown, strangely mysterious galaxy hehe hashel it was too bad your entry was lost in space, i wanted to hear it too, i hope it'll turn up in your computer somewhere xO. AK your entry was really cool, i like the chord progression and the dance vibe that it gives, and the production sounds nice to me, this could be a secret touhou level. bleedingfingers your entry was awesome as well, definitely showing some shredding skills there, have you seen strangejam's challenge riff contests?? it sounds like it could be for a fast space shooter like Raiden, i haven't played too many space shooters but your track would definitely fit the bill for an adrenaline filled space blasting stage hehe kage your martian boogie entry was dam cool too, it was really fun and it had, waiiit a minute, this is a youtube link to mars! i cant wait to hear your next real entry though, your famitracker skills are improving a lot and that stp track you made was epic hehe i'll be posting the next tune topic as soon as i can make and decide!

The theme is outer-space.
1. The piece must be an original and new work. No rehashes.
2. The piece must be at least 1 minute in length.
3. Any audio format is acceptable.
4. There is no limitation on style, as long as it is appropriate for the subject matter.
5. You may enter as many pieces as you wish, but must choose one for judging.
6. The end date for this contest is January 10th at 12pm EST.
7. You may post your entry early and you may replace or change or edit your entry up until the moment the contest is closed. I will only then listen to the entries for judging.
8. Have fun with it!
