I don't think Juja made a topic to whore out this album, so I'm going to. I'm on bass on nine tracks:

http://randomencounterband.com/pixelglass

Some of them are based on covers Juja and I did, but they're redone or have different instruments or live drums or such.

You can listen in the browser, you don't have to buy it to hear the stuff.

Yeah, I don't like being a whore. The handling of all the production/selling stuff is in Mr. Accordion of Random Encounter's hands (they sell the physical cds at their shows).

I'm pretty happy with the way Zelda II (full band version), Cave Story (the one I recently posted on here, and Dancing Mad (we did the entire song) turned out.

Castlevania, however... I had no input on that one. I'm pretty disappointed in it, particularly in how my guitars sound in it. Basically, I recorded clean guitars and then left it up to the guy mixing to run them through amp simulators, and they didn't come out sounding too great. And I know they could sound better, because they sounded a lot better in some practice mixes that I did using the Overloud TH2 vst. Also, a lot of my guitar parts were cut that I think really shouldn't have been. Anyway, I just want to give a little disclaimer about that song.

As for the rest of the songs, they're sort of like 'bonus' tracks we threw in there, and some of them we changed a bit. I think all of them were changed at least a little except for Chrono Acoustic, Wizardry Lab, and Nitro Man; the only change made to those songs was to make them louder than they were originally.

I'm just hearing the album today for the first time. I'm pretty happy overall :-D

Sorry I wasn't more help with it, though. I was pretty overwhelmed with Snaily. I'm trying to pace Snaily 2 a bit slower, so I still have energy to work on other stuff.

Your name is on it, though. It's not on the cover, but you're credited on the inside. Careless Juja is just the name we used since it was primarily just the two of us working on putting it together and also recording the new songs. Of course, you played bass/programmed stuff on a lot of tracks, and Mr. Accordion's friend, Adam, did all of the live drum tracks, but we needed a name that wasn't Adam the Careless JujaPlane.

Adam the Careless JujaPlane is a pretty funny name. Pixel Glass is an awesome name. I'm not asking you to insert my name into the project title somehow, don't worry XD

Is "hnng <:" good or bad? Cave Story is one of my favorites that we did for sure.

To answer LinkStrife, I'm not any of those little cartoon characters. I'm not actually a member of Random Encounter; I'm more of a frequent collaborator with them. If anything, I would look more like the guy in the middle with the black hair if he had glasses on.

Oh, also, there was a mixing/mastering problem with Phantom Temple of the Ancients (track 10). It ended up being a lot quieter than the rest of the songs. So, I apologize for that song and also the wasted potential of the Castlevania tracks.

Yeah, Dancing Mad turned out pretty well, I think. I really like the fact that they recorded real vocals for it and they're singing real lyrics (it's Latin). I did all the guitars in the song except the first 30 seconds (what we had wasn't working, so Tony Dickinson re-recorded that bit for us). And I also recorded most of the bass for that song except for the first 30 seconds (and again on the repeat) and Tier 3's bass.

The name Pixel Glass was decided fairly last minute. The accordion guy had worked out doing stained glass type artwork with his artist friend, and when that was done, we still didn't have a title. I suggested Titanius Vengroff vs. The Giant Snail From Outer Space, but that apparently didn't fit the theme, so then I threw out the names "Pixel Glass" or "Glass Pixels" since that way it would have something to do with video games and something to do with glass, and then we decided that Pixel Glass worked better.

Not that this is much different from the link to Random Encounter's online store, but I guess Mr. Vengroff put the album on cdbaby now: http://www.cdbaby.com/AlbumDetails.aspx?AlbumID=carelessjuja

I enjoyed those! Dancing Mad was pretty awesome. I can see why you'd be a bit disappointed in the Castlevania one, but it's honestly not that bad. Your Zelda II one reminds me of Vomitron's lol.

Who or what is Vomitron?

Dancing Mad did turn out pretty well, especially that ending guitar part. Not that I did some crazy ass solo or anything, but I think it sounded pretty sweet. I'm also pretty happy with how all the different stuff in Cave Story was blended together.
