1- wanted to practice rendering cloth and fabric. more I look at it though, the more static her pose looks and I don't quite like it.

I think the first character would look neat if she was leaning with her back against a bar or something slightly with her elbow. It wouldn't be a dramatic change from what you had but would give some life to it. Just a thought.

The clothing reminds me of Assassin's creed/prince of persia kind of street urchin look.

I might be talking out of my ass here but I think what you've gotta work on is the faces and the positions themselves (not as in draw them better but rather, think/study them better and then draw them according to what you want them to represent)

Oh and I meant for men, specifically.

I frequently talk about game scenes too. A scene can exist in any medium that represents interactions between characters. In theater, a new scene is defined as the entrance or exit of a character.

Not sure bout Zappa, though. He certainly looks like Zappa but there is SOMETHING off... not sure what it is, maybe the cheeks (a bit chubby) or the eyes that make him look just a tiny little bit feminine. Ends up coming kind-of like a weird bishonen-Zappa.

some more sketches from this month- haven't been doing much digital stuff, since most of my drawings are done during school hours (when I should be working on school things.)
most of the drawings I've been doing lately have been figurative and facial construction, seeing as thats what I need to get accepted to the art colleges i'm looking at.

I took a figure drawing class at a local studio, and the teacher there is a fucking drawing wizard. Heres one of HIS notes on muscles. he told us to take these home and copy them, now I've got a stack about an inch thick of muscle diagrams and figure notes and they're all VERY FUCKING CONFUSING.
