Hahaha, you sound like you're 16. :D Ok, sorry, maybe you really are (I only said this cuz I had this period when I was 16). Anyway, I think this 3rd year is actually the magic one cuz it's the one when you're actually good but for some reason you feel unsatisfied. It' doesn't apply just to the guitar, it's the same with anything. Keep it up and this time next year you're gonna be like "damn, I'm good". :D It was the same with me. I'm still no virtuoso in fingerstyle but if someone would tell me that I suck I'd just laugh at him. The thing you lack most now is confidence. I bet right now you think there's a million guys who are way better than you, but as you keep on going you're gonna realize that it's just a ten thousand or thousand of them. :P And if you hold on a bit longer it's gonna stop mattering cuz you're simply gonna be satisfied with your level of skill. It's not that you're not improving anymore, it's just that from now on it's gonna take a bit longer to make some noticeable progress, that's all. Just like when powering up a character in an RPG game. ;) And no salem, people with attitude should just keep on playing, so that they can laugh at themselves later. Pasto, if you give up now you're gonna give up everywhere after coming half the way cuz you're not gonna understand that feeling like this is just a period, nothing more. |

I play guitar for like 3 years. Allways learn it by myself.
In the first year I learn a lot, In the second year I did some improvement . . . now I feel like I can't improve more ( even if I am still a very bad guitarist ) something like "Well , you became better than what you think at the beginning, but you will never became good".
So . . .
Did you ever feel the same / Did you go further this ?
I love to play, and I never stop it . . . But maybe I will be never able to became good.
As allways sorry if my english suck.
