Unless you're a fantastic player with a great setup, it's well hard starting out on Youtube. My account's been active for about 9 months and so far has 15 subs and around 5500 views :P. It's a general rule that people need support in order to keep going, no shame there. Your playings good, and so is your quality. One word of advice I can offer is to post a recording as a video response to a more popular video (e.g. Hey Jude lyrics). Another is to cover songs that are less likely to be covered by other guitarists. There are loads of Beatles arrangements out there afterall. Try and find a niche, like a band with few fingerstyle covers, or a game with a small fanbase. That way the people watching your videos will appreciate them much more.

^You could have just clicked the link and checked the titles of the 4 videos to see "what you're watching", nay? You don't even lose a minute of your life doing so in case it doesn't interest you. Anyways, I don't know too much when it comes to arranging fingerpicking songs, but I quite loved your ocarina of time arrange, as well as the mario one. You're pretty much doing a very good job as of now IMO, playing-wise and sound quality-wise, so continue what you're doing. Don't really mind the view counts, you can't expect a lot of people to always be searching around on youtube for such classic songs. I'd say it's a good initiative to ask here for hints and such, but if you want to know how your arrange sounds to beatles fan, here might not be the best place (could just look around fan forums of that band). One of my covers only has 500ish views 2 years after uploading it, if that can cheer you up, simply because it's not a song that's really known. Bhael's correct when saying it's hard to get noticed right away on yt. |
i love beatles, this

btw the best way to get support is using the power of social networking. Youtube itself is a network(a vast one to say the least) that trinkles down branching to smaller, more specific networks such as this one. Don't limit yourself to one place and expand yourself to other networks that have the same interest. And as Bhael said, uniqueness doesn't hurt. Good luck! |

howdy yall, maybe you might just remember me as demigorgo...most likely not :P but im looking for support or maybe criticism on my videos that i uploaded so far... i deleted my old account for personal reasons (not my own arrangements, felt like i could do more, if you must know :P) so anyway looking for a jumpstart in some motivation. maybe you guys could help me out i hope!
started this account quite awhile ago and i feel like i've hit a wall in creativity with arranging music on my own with basically zero support haha.
any opinion is welcomed :)
i uploaded this yesterday

so basically(not trying to hide) a desperate call for attention from other musicians haha.
