Depends upon the context. If the piece is comedic/satirical then I'll find sampling more acceptable. For example, a satire of some games sampling a few tracks from it. Or an attack on a musical genre's repetitiveness through remixing it into another (e.g. some strange avent garde piece). On the topic of merging genre's, sampling can also be a great way to communicate a certain kind of music into another culture. However, I generally find it difficult to take music which copies large parts of other songs seriously. Originality is very important to me, and I can't enjoy a piece of music if it isn't genuine. Saying that, clever use of sampling can create effective and original music in the same way as the conventions we employ. I also hate nowadays mainstream rap, as it seems to be immature, repetetive and completely unoriginal. However, Hip Hop also has the potiential to be the exact opposite. There are some very artistic and effective raps out there, especially in the 80's era. But yeah, sampling should usually be subtle lest it ruin both itself and the music it sampled.

I’m a big fan of video game music so I have been a regular reader of GameSetWatch for years. The site recently published an article about the growing number of video game remixes that are reusing samples from the original games. My friend asked me that you can try this out so that you could have some knowledge about how to improve your health with online casino games. |

Music today can be created by sampling, which can be used in most music but is highly known in the realm of rap/hip-hop. Is it okay to use VGM sampling or does it ruin the music you loved growing up?
Here's an example of a song by a popular artist sampled without being credited (I'm sure most of you would know this as soon as you heard it):

Here's an example of VG fans experimenting and making a song using VGM with vocals of another track:

My personal favorites - A rapper who uses VGM beats and raps about the game and the theme itself:

Do you think it is okay as a tribute or does it spoil the feeling you get when you listen to it?
