Topic says it all,
I know a lot of you compose stuff, so lets hear it.
here's a few pointers to keep this thread running if it kicks off:
-Give people critique when commenting about their songs. Point out good and weak areas while listening, pretty standard.
-if you have a song, post it along your reply so the person you're commenting replies back on your material.
-anything goes and belongs in this thread as long as it is original material. (midis, GP5s,videos,mp3s,etc)

Alright so here's mine to get started:

Remix of my first real track, just for this thread.

If you listen carefully, every instrument except one is a remixed or altered version of an instrument in the original.

This is my favorite song that I wrote for my band and it's finished, but not recorded. This is a demo of the guitar for it and I was wondering if someone could give some constructive critisism: Delay Guitar, the pause might seem a bit weird, but it was meant to be a transition song and isn't anymore, but we kept it in there because we liked the way it sounded. It's fairly minimalistic compared to some of the other stuff here though... XD

Whoa surreal those were amazing, I ecspecially liked the first and third one, didn't really like the end of the second one though you should post some actual recordings of them.

Truly godlike songs there eric

And A Dead Fly, your delay song sounds pretty good, but the distortion around 2:40 doesn't sound too nice to me on that recording; maybe it sounds better in person?

It sounds a little better, but I meant it to be fairly chaotic, I was thinking that when it got recorded officialy instead of doing like that I would turn the gain way up and also make it extremely fuzzy and then turn the volume way down, during that part the bass is still extremely clear and takes over in the song, but if you have something you think would work good there I would like to hear it :) Plus I was using a really cheap distortion pedal (Boss ds-1) so it tends to come out like that when I'm just practicing or doing demo recordings.

Thanks guys. Yeah, the

Kabuki you always compose really cool stuff, just wondering did you ever go to a school for classical music or are you just self taught and you like that genre a lot?

Link I pretty much agreed with the comments in your other thread, it's cool, but I don't really like youtube intros. And as usual every song needs more moobell.. It makes me think of a beach day in southern Cali in the early 90's.

I've taken a couple years of music theory and did, in fact, study music composition for 1/2 a semester. Unfortunately, all he had me studying was modern compositions that put me in mind of two cats fighting on a piano. So I don't draw on a lot of that period for my musical inspiration...most of it comes from my ear and what sounds pleasing to me.

That's not to say I don't enjoy other genres of music by far, but more that I don't have the means to compose in those particular styles.
