I'm having trouble figuring out how to do the last two bars on this. Do I just move my (left) fretting hand back and forth really quick or do I use my right hand to tap the notes somehow. If so how do I tap in a way that it's actually audible because it sounds like very quiet mush right now.

From how nosebloods's recording sounds, the 3230 bass line seems to be pull-off/hammer-ons by the left hand, while the right hand smacks the uppers notes at the end of those measures (or harmonics later on). You can still hear them ring while the next measure's bass line continues so his right hand is most likely still pressed down on the fret board. You'll need to practice it to get them to ring since your picking fingers will need more strength and harder skin to make it sound louder imo. The guitar itself also influences this.

Better fingerstylists might know a particular technique to this, I haven't done this in years >:
