wow...im speechless this arrangement is EPIC. I know we talked about it a little last night bro but I had no idea it was of this caliber you sir are a great arranger. Keep it up bro your doing an awsome job :)
DUDE!
I remember hearing you talking about this in the shoutbox one day and as soon as i heard you were arranging it i couldnt wait. Well.. it was worth the wait! THIS SONG IS SO EPIC! GREAT JOB
Whoa I'm not used to this
Whoa I'm not used to this kinda tuning O_o
The tuning was actually to
The tuning was actually to facilitate the tapping section, but it worked out nicely for the rest, too XD
Tuning the B string up to C allowed me to utilize some natural harmonics that I wouldn't have been able to otherwise. It also helped create a lot more open notes, which improved the playability of the whole thing by quite a bit... which is important because it's still pretty difficult lol.
Tuning the A string down to G was primarily to minimize movement of my left hand while tapping.
I've been playing a lot of things in different tunings lately, and I've been noticing how they can really turn something completely unplayable to something achievable :)
Dang this is crazy. Excellent

Thank you, Chelsea :)
I took a lot of inspiration from your fine arrangement (which I love, btw!). I looked at how you handled certain parts and it was able to help me come up with some interesting ideas :)

Ah, so it seems that I started somewhat of a trend with this song. Kidding! lol I'm not that arrogant hehe
I'm glad I was able to indirectly help out with this pheonominal piece =D
WOW just wow.
This is pretty crazy man. Are there any videos of anyone playing from these tabs? If so please let me know.
Unfortunately, there is no
Unfortunately, there is no video of me or anyone else (as far as I know XD) playing this. I do plan on recording this someday when I have the means to do so, though. I'll need to practice it a bit more as the tapping part is pretty challenging for me... especially sounding out the RH tapping on nylon trebles. I originally made this as right hand tapping practice for myself (it was primarily inspired by Kaki King's Carmine St), but it turned out well enough that I thought I'd share it with everyone on Gametabs :)
Good tab.
The second part of the song with the melody being played on higher notes was great, I did not like the first part with the low notes. Also you went a little overboard with the tuning, I'd rather see you try fit it in a normal tuning. But clearly a lot of effort has been put into this.
Thank you for the nice
Thank you for the nice comments, yomanation.
I know the tuning is a bit wacky, but I explain my decisions in detail about it a few comments above. I just felt this tuning made the most sense and gave the easiest results for playability.
I know that weird tunings can be a big turn-off for some, but they can really offer a much better variety of sound, playability of certain key signatures, and other things that standard tuning cannot provide. Although there are a few tips that are important in maintaining your guitar when using alternate tunings. One would be to not get carried away in tuning too many strings up or tuning a singular string up too high, as it can potentially warp a neck (especially one without a truss rod)... Placing a capo on a higher fret and tuning the other strings down is much safer. Tuning down in general is a lot less strenuous on the neck, yet if left for extended periods of time can warp it in the opposite direction. Good practice would be to always tune the guitar back to standard (or whatever tuning the guitar was built for) when done playing in a whack ass tuning.
Despite those tedious things and my laziness, I am a complete lover of alternate tunings. I used to hate them due to said laziness, but once I figured out the glory they offered, I became a die-hard convert. And don't get me started on capos, partial capos, or multiple capos. They can lend so much to a guitar player if taken the time to screw around with different variations... especially in combination with alternate tunings lol.
It has been a while that I
It has been a while a tab made me feel like a beginner. It's incredible how much you can with a guitar if you're creative.

I agree with Archard. I have not seen any better Stickerbrush symphony tab than this.
