I think he's referring to how you have to let go of the other two notes when you slide up.

Yeah, that's how I play it. I guess you could slide your little finger while holding the other two notes, but that seems kind of uncomfortable.

I can't do that. I mean,

I can't do that. I mean, sliding my little finger. I technically can, but it sounds really weak and cruddy :-D I just lift my fingers. I think that's fine.
