Fingerstyle Challenge of the Week #8 Winner!

The winner for the latest fingerstyle challenge is Ennea, for his performance of Kabukibear's "DK in Love". Getting some good vibes from that guitar.

The 9th challenge is being hosted by Ennea here, based on an extract of this arrangement. I've never heard it before, but it sounds well good. Guy's got taste.

I forgot to check out the fingerstyle contest thread so I'll leave my comment here. Anyways, This is a great entry, Ennea!

The only constructive criticism I can throw out is that your thumb rears its head over the guitar neck a few times. I'm not as much of a stickler for this as some people are, but it could be why some of your notes are a bit buzzy or staccato sounding at times. Using your thumb as an anchor point to evenly distribute weight can help alleviate these problems.

Just remember that using your thumb as an anchor point is not the same thing as squeezing the neck. I generally think of it as pulling the neck towards your body with the thumb centered to evenly balance the weight of the pull.

Yeah I'm trying for some time now to get rid of that nasty habit, but 3-4 years playing that way are taking it's toll :/

Thats also the reason I always appreciate criticism, since I have no real idea what else might be wrong with my playing - so thanks for that I guess ?
