I cant even finish the song.

I cant even finish the song. stupid only having 20 frets

Do you not know your abc's

Do you not know your abc's from A-G on a guitar? The 24th fret on the first string is still an E, so play the entire song an octave lower and it should work. If you want to know what everything is on the strings then here:

1st String open - 12th fret E F F# G G# A A# B C C# D D# E
2nd String open - 12th fret B C C# D D# E F F# G G# A A# B
3rd String open - 12th fret G G# A A# B C C# D D# E F F# G
4th String open - 12th fret D D# E F F# G G# A A# B C C# D
5th String open - 12th fret A A# B C C# D D# E F F# G G# A
6th String open - 12th fret E F F# G G# A A# B C C# D D# E

try reading music instead of tabs, u can learn so much more and actually look like you know it, even if you are to memorize the song without music in front of you, thats great of you, but i get told off by my guitar teacher because i dont look at my guitar book, because i sight-read everything a day before a test.

Well, you're quite the guy.

Well, you're quite the guy. That's what the pros do too you know, that whole not practicing thing. And chances are your playing is mediocre at best. Try not to be so condescending next time, and people will take your suggestions more seriously.

Consider the audience.

This is a tabs site. So obviously the people looking for music here are interested in finding tablature, not sheet music. While it is good to learn to read the sheet music, not everyone has the time to dedicate to that task, or the desire to. Try to keep these two things in mind.

It's weird

I think sheet music is good, but tablature is much more massive for guitar ( in non classical repertoire). I think one should be confortable in reading both, not just one, and stop the war between sheet and tabs (GP like).

Sheet Music Vs Tabs

Both Sheet music and tabs hav their place. Tabs are great for telling you where to exactly play it. Because guitar and most string instruments have the same exact pitch in multiple places. Tabs have been around for just as long or maybe longer then sheet music.

But Sheet music by far has more musical value. Sheet music is like a direct recording of the song in written form. It tells you the correct pitch, how fast to play it and can be read by multiple( nearly all) instruments. if a flute player wanted to know how to play this song and had the sheets even if they were written for piano he would be able to figure it out because sheet music is written in an international language.

While Most guitarist stay away from it because its easier to pick up a tab or do it by ear. If more guitarist used sheet music from the start and had the time to play around with it our knowledge of the fretboard would be nearly as perfect a piano players know their keys. We would be memorizing our note locatons and learning how to read music.

But most guitar music is not written in sheet music so Tabs will be more widly used to learn songs on guitar. Just never dismiss sheet music because it is harder at times to read.

You realize the person you're

You realize the person you're replying to posted this over a year ago, right? lol.

:)

So lol. Maybe someone else will read it and learn something as well?

same here i only have 19

I know man, I don't think

I know man, I don't think many guitars go up to 27 frets o_0

mone does :P:P

mone does :P:P

I totally have 27

I totally have 27 frets...and an automail arm. Biznatches.

The lowest fret I see there

The lowest fret I see there is a seven, so would it not be possible to retune your guitar so that open strings sound like the seventh fret in standard tuning? Not plausible/possible?

I'm new, as if you couldn't tell.

um... you can try that but I

um... you can try that but I don't think the strings will like it...

if anyone is weird enough to

if anyone is weird enough to be wondering this the composer is Michiru Oshima and its performed by the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir so yeah....

i cant get the last part..

i cant get the last part.. when i bough my guitar i tough 24 frets were ok o.o

Because it's not done on

Because it's not done on guitar you morons!!! It's transcribed from piano notes to guitar notes. Although the piano has the same notes as a guitar, They're both played entirely different. And Piano has so much more keys. But so far since I began learning about guitars, never have I seen or heard of a guitar with '27' frets That's what both-way whammy bar's are for (Dimebag Darrel's signature guitar). Do any of you know how hard it would acutally be to play notes that are that high anyway? The fret size would shrink so much. And Violen's can play higher notes than guitars. It's the violen that plays the so called-27th note in this tab. But I agree totally with OctaveTenor. Let's get a music book and start to read some real music. Sevy?

Actually it can be done on

Actually it can be done on guitar. And if you spent even a minute bit of time with a little invention I like to call GOOGLE you might actually be able to support your loud mouthed claim of us being "Morons." For instance .... ---> THIS http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=27+fret+guitar&rls=com.microsof... Is a 27 fret guitar.... and I found that with less than a minute of searching. SO your whole.... "But so far since I began learning about guitars, never have I seen or heard of a guitar with '27' frets" Just went out the window. Savvy?

OMG 27 frets??? I only have

OMG 27 frets???

I only have 24 -_-

You can either use a pitch

You can either use a pitch shifter (and play on the lower octave) on a effects processor or bend the note on a 24-fret guitar (to get those 2 notes), though that would obviously do no good to the e string.

i have an old guitar am i'm

I love this song, but I'm wondering if anyone knows what the background arpeggios are?

This is only the melody :(

27 frets.

Ibanez makes a guitar with 27 frets. but yea they should have tabbed it out 3 to 4 octaves lower so it would be completely playable on guitar but either way now we know what to play
