Strum however it feels right to you.
Note #2 - If you want to be really tricky, you can tap the guitar
with your thumbnail/pinky nail while playing the arpeggios at the
beginning to mimic the clock ticking in the game.

whats a tied note?

It means you basically combine the note values for the notes that are tied so it's just 1 longer note instead of 2 notes. For example if I have a half note (2 counts) tied to a quarter note (1 count) I play a note that is 3 counts long. You just play the first note and hold over into the second note without playing it.
