But where are the bass notes?
archard you arrange the melody but you never input the rhythm or the bass line

i find these missing from alot of your pieces

You know, sometimes it

You know, sometimes it horrifies me how easily the majority of this community can be satisfied. Technically, tabs like this one (no offense, archard) are just the first step to an arrangement: An accurately transcribed melody. But well, one recognizes the song and one can easily play it. Awesome, but is it actually awesome on a scale of 5 stars? I doubt.
Don't get me wrong: Rating all current 'transcriptions' down to 2 stars would be just as pointless. Yet I don't think it's fair to have archard's Song of Healing right after Kabukibear's 1000 Words and takaf221's Far Off Promise at the Top Rated Tabs. All of them with a 100% 5-star-rating...

yeah..

tbf to archard he's done alot of tabs.

But alot of the 5 star raters are probably guitar beginners.

I'm about intermidiate

so far i've learnt Rose of may, by kakubear, jechts theme by quickmisssamuri

and i'm learning "to zanarkand2 by stamen47

my youtube name is "Daltrey1994"

look me up and subscribe, my videos will be up within the next month.

It's a rating of accuracy...

It's a rating of accuracy... I've only been playing for 8 months, how would you have me rate this song? It's very well put together. Maybe not as complex as your tastes are, but really... Who cares.

Your problem is that we've

Your problem is that we've only got a five-star system instead of a ten-star one. Than and you seem to be some sort of crazy perfectionist that has to have everything completely done. This is a guitar tab, not a full-band tab. It says so on the game's tab list.

It's clearly a 5/5 Guitar tab.

I think you're intelligent

I think you're intelligent enough to know that what is actually being argued here. Or do you hold such an irrational grudge against fingerpickers that you can only offer personal attacks and split hairs over the meaning of "guitar" tabs?

No. It's just that there's a

No. It's just that there's a completely different skillset involved in fingerpicked guitar and single-pick guitar. One can be considered an 'advanced' guitarist without being able to fingerpick.

My argument is fingerpicking is not nessecarily equal to advanced skill.

EDIT: Wait, what? What does my argument here have to do with fingerpicking vs. non? The argument I'm making here is that it's solely a guitar tab. The original complaint was that it didn't have bass, rhythm, and drums as well. Jesus, I thought you were responding to a completely different comment of mine.

so great

so great

this tab is

good for beginners but for more advanced players, go to doomofallfires arrangement.

doomofallfires arrangment

where can i find it?

It's here.

It's here.

There's a difference between

There's a difference between "Advanced" and "People who fingerpick," jackass.

I really want to learn this

I really want to learn this song (My little lady loves FF9), but I feel bad learning this version without the base notes, since it feels like I'm cheating myself into learning something easier. T_T But I'm still new at guitar, so for the life of me I can't seem to iron out TheDoomOfAllFires's version.. (I've been stuck at the very first 2-3 measures for hours trying to get it to sound natural.)

Good job

Love it :D

Confused

Tab's great, but the midi is... confusing. I swear the timing's different in the actual in-game track.
