Thief's version sounds better because the background is a bunch of arpeggios so the notes need to be on different strings, but it's very difficult to play imo. However if you capo the first fret and modify one part back to the original very slightly...

to tell the truth ur way is vary hard to do the way i learned it was easyer but the one thing i like is that you have the back round part
